HP G60-235DX Laptop Notebook


This laptop comes with Windows Vista installed, features a Intel Pentium Dual-Core mobile processor T4200 operating at 2.0GHz on a 800MHz bus with 1MB L2 cache. 3GB DDR2 memory is installed but this can be expanded to 4GB. There's a 320GB SATA hard drive that operates at 5400rpm and a Lightscribe compatible multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive. The 16″ LCD is a 16:9 ratio with a 1366×768 resolution powered by an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M. The keyboard includes a numeric pad. Network and Internet connectivity is provided by a 10/100Base-T RJ-45 connector, built-in 802.11b/g wireless and a 56kb modem port. Rounding things out are 3 USB 2.0 ports, a 5-in-1 media card reader, an HDMI port, a web cam and Altec Lansing speakers.

I noticed there was no reviews that were recent, which had me hesitant to buy and it took forever for me to get the guts. It's pretty hard to find a decent review of it on youtube as well. So here it is : >

So I bought this a few weeks ago, and was a little reluctant because i heard you wanna buy newer laptops and this one is not as old as most of the ones that were in my budget, but definitely not new and pristine like the ones that cost 500 and so. But it works actually really well for the age, i was afraid it'd be slow as hell but actually it's as fast as any newer one.

Gaming: now, i have yet to actually experience any lags in any of my games, but keep in mind I am not a gamer. So don't know about all that, but my friends are and they play some high up games that i sometimes download to see if it'll be good. so far, no issues. But it is probably not a good idea to buy this soley for gaming (ignoring everything else, the laptop con is it's heating issues,...

Reliable Machine
This computer is reliable and intuitive. I love the huge bright screen for movies and the easy of utility regarding the wireless set-up. The number pad on a laptop computer keyboard is also a favorite.
